DATA CENTRE INFRASTRUCTURE INSTALLATION
Lately, we upgraded the Data Centre infrastructure for a Telecommunications Operator in Nigeria. This included provision and installation of Commscope Cat6A network cables, Jindao Raised Flooring, Suspended Ceilings, Temperature and Humidity Sensors and Tools, Safety-certified ladders etc.

CYBERSECURITY SOLUTION FOR A TERTIARY INSTITUTION
Caspian recently provided Sonicwall high-end Next Generation Firewalls to protect the campus network of a major tertiary institution of learning in Nigeria.

The NGFWs were rich in Threat Protection, Anti-Virus, Anti-Spyware, Intrusion Prevention, Application Firewall Service, Content Filtering, Comprehensive Anti-Spam, and thorough management features.

The solution ensured the staff and students of the institution were protected from a myriad of threats from the internet and ensured certain unwanted websites were unreachable via the school's network,
NOC VISUALISATION SOLUTION FOR TELECOMMS OPERATOR IN CAMEROON
In an attempt to equip its NOC with nothing but the best Visualisation Solution, a leading telecomms operator in Cameroon selected us.

In partnership with BARCO, we deployed, installed, configured and support a large 5x2 LED-backlit LCD Display Wall complete with a network-attached controller.

Since then, the operator has seen remarkable improvement in network fault management and remediation.
CYBERSECURITY SOLUTION FOR BRITISH REAL ESTATE AGENCY
Renowned british real estate agency needed to create a WAN via VPN comprising all its global offices in order to be able to showcase properties in any of its locations to clients anywhere via Virtual Reality. It also needed to harmonise its operations by creating a single intranet globally but securely.
Caspian provided Palo Alto NGFW to the Nigerian office to secure the VPN access to HQ in the UK.
The solution was complete with Advanced Threat Prevention, Advanced URL Filtering, Advanced Wildfire, DNS Security and SD-WAN.

NETWORK AUDIT
One of nigeria's top 4 Telecomms Operators needed to: address areas of network weakness; adequately plan capacity in preparation for imminent network refresh; forensically ascertain the health of its enterprise network and ensure that she is maximising her current investment.

A thorough audit of the nationwide network was certainly needed.
​
After a grueling bidding exercise that spanned over a year, Caspian was selected to conduct this critical assignment.
​
In a surgical manner, our auditors examined the network in over 50 locations—sweeping through network and power devices, applications and environmental conditions—exposed the true state of network inventory, uncovered and articulated potential pitfalls, proposed remedies and computed the present financial value of the network.
The report has since formed the basis upon which subsequent network upgrades and decisions are made.

CYBERSECURITY SOLUTION FOR TOP-TIER INTERNET AND VoIP SERVICES PROVIDER IN NIGERIA
Challenge
Nigeria’s leading ISP experienced sluggish data transmission on its network. As an eminent provider of internet and VoIP services to tons of subscribers across the country, it could not afford to allow the situation to linger and risk losing subscribers and brand loyalty.
Solution
Upon troubleshooting, the Caspian Engineers, aka “wild dogs” discovered the culprit to be the high processor utilization on the existing firewalls, which led to dropping of packets and less than optimal customer experiences.
Caspian recommended an upgrade of the firewalls from the Juniper SRX3400 series to the SRX5800 series Next Generation Firewalls. Upon obtaining the consent and order of the customer, caspian provided a stop-gap optimization solution to reduce the CPU utilization while it expedited the delivery of the new SRX5800s in a record time of a couple of weeks.
Result
The proactivity of the client, rich technical skills of the Caspian Engineers and operational efficiency of the Caspian sales and procurement teams led to disaster aversion and prevented loss of critical subscribers.
ROLL OUT OF CONNECTIVITY INFRASTRUCTURE FOR MULTINATIONAL TELECOMMS OPERATOR IN NIGERIA
Caspian Services is considered by many clients as a “no-stress” supplier of telecommunications infrastructure including fibre optic and other cables.
This reputation once again prompted one of nigeria’s top 4 telecomms operators to procure fibre optic and copper cables from us to upgrade its transmission infrastructure. These included outdoor and indoor singlemode and multimode fibre cables and CAT6A copper cables, ALL from Commscope.
As usual, we supplied the cables in record time to the delight of the client’s project team which was under immense pressure to meet stringent deadlines.
MOBILE PACKET CORE SOLUTION
Arguably the top Telecomms Operator in Ghana needed to upgrade its network from circuit-switched to packet-switched. This became necessary to enable the network scale faster to meet growing demand for an assortment of mobile telephony services including voice, internet and Value-added Services.

Caspian provided high-end Core Network Routers configured with a variety of interface speeds and IP/MPLS, to fulfil this critical demand.
INTERNATIONAL GATEWAY SOLUTION
One of Nigeria’s top four Telecomms Operators was required to provision a gateway to its international HQ to ensure seamless operations. A secure, reliable, tested and trusted solution was sought. It also needed a trustworthy local company to provide and implement the right solution.

Caspian was selected to render this one of a kind critical solution.

A crafty combination of high-end routers and Next Generation Firewalls, configured in High- Availability form, provided the right mix of speed, security and reliability that was satisfactory to both HQ and local office.

DATA CENTRE FOR SPORTS BETTING EXCELLENCE
Sports betting and other requires precision in betting algorithms, evaluations and payout. Such precision can only be accomplished by fine technology, preferably cosily nested in a Data Centre.
Because of the huge sums involved and the tons of data including personal information, the Data Centre must also boast of impregnable security.
This customer sought a meticulous and competent ICT partner to realise the above objectives. This search led it to Caspian.
To further neutralise attack vectors, we delivered impenetrable security using a combination of Next Generation Firewalls from multiple OEMs such as Fortinet and Juniper. This guaranteed protective cover for the array of Dell Servers, Synology Storage System and Riverbed Steelhead’s Application Accelerator; all provided by Caspian.
Other solutions we provided included the switching and yearly support for the entire ICT ecosystem.
MULTIPLE AWARD-WINNING BANK ROLLS OUT NEW PRODUCTS AND SERVICES THANKS TO IMPROVED WAN
One of our earliest customers is a leading full-service commercial Bank operating through a network of more than 600 branches and service outlets, spanning three continents, 18 countries and 49+ million customers. The Bank employs 28,000 people in its operations in Nigeria and has subsidiaries in Sub-Saharan Africa and the United Kingdom (with a branch in Dubai, UAE) and representative offices in China, Lebanon, and India.
At a time when bandwidth was still exorbitantly priced, this bank needed to deliver its brand promise to customers across all branches without latency or delay.
Caspian introduced and sold its WAN acceleration solution to her which enabled the bank cut its bandwidth requirements by 50%, thus saving subscription costs, but still enjoyed WAN speeds more than thrice that of the initial bandwidth.
This new WAN “Autobahn” enabled the bank launch multiple new services without the hitherto impediment of connectivity speeds and related challenges.
NOC VISUALISATION SOLUTION FOR GLOBAL TELECOMMS EQUIPMENT MANUFACTURER
A world-leading provider of Telecommunications equipment (including 5G, 4G, RAN, MSCs etc) and attendant services needed a robust and versatile Visualisation Solution for its Network Operating Centre (NOC).
This NOC was built to monitor all her infrastructure deployed to networks of Telecomms Operators across Africa. This was no small undertaking and there was no room for error or mediocrity.
A robust and versatile Display Wall solution was needed that could handle Big Data, allow effective communication between NOC agents and field engineers and promote in-depth analyses of alarms and other telemetry information.
Caspian provided two units of BARCO’s 3x2 LED-lit Full HD Displays complete with network-attached controller running on Control Room Management Sotfware. This allowed the NOC to draw in status information from multiple sources such as internet, sensors, IP cameras and even multimedia players.
This customer has since reported increased fault detection, escalation and resolution.
The icing on the cake was the resultant WOW effect it had on her customer when they visited.
